Severe Bed Bug Infestation: Repeat Spray?

Yes, if the bed bug infestation is severe, we at Green World TLC Sdn Bhd in Beranang, Selangor, serving Kuala Lumpur (KL) and customers throughout Malaysia, recommend applying Green World Bed Bug & Dust Mite Control Spray once or twice daily for 7 to 14 days on affected areas according to the label. We specialise in nature-inspired household insect control solutions, including bed bug and dust mite care, backed by 10 years of experience and more than 500,000 customer orders across our official channels in Malaysia.

This recommendation matters because bed bugs commonly hide in mattress seams, folds, bed frames, sofas, cushion gaps and cracks. Our spray acts on contact, and bed bugs commonly die within about 10 to 20 minutes after direct contact. If the bed bug infestation is severe, do I really need to repeat the spray for 7 to 14 days?

Yes, for a serious infestation, we do recommend repeating the spray for 7 to 14 days because a single application is often not enough to reach every hiding spot. The key is consistent treatment on the right surfaces, not occasional random spraying.

How should I apply the spray properly for better results?

The correct method is to shake the bottle, remove the bedsheets, then spray evenly and lightly across all target areas. Do not ignore gaps and crevices, because that is where bed bugs often hide and continue causing repeated night bites.

After spraying, keep the area well ventilated and wait until surfaces are fully dry before using them again. Keep children and pets away until dry, and do not spray directly on people or animals.

How long should I monitor the situation?

A reasonable monitoring period is the full 7 to 14 days of consistent use. We usually advise you to watch for live insects, new bites or continued signs of activity on mattresses, sofas and bed frames.

In one case we remember, a Shopee buyer reported daily bites in the bedroom and sent clear photos and videos of live insects; according to that customer, a pest control worker had also confirmed bed bugs. After following our usage guidance, the customer later reported that the problem was resolved.
